Google Classroom

Google Classroom is the Learning Management System (LMS) utilized by SOS to enable blended, personalized, and differentiated learning that nurtures curiosity and self-directed learning. Teachers at SOS have employed this technology in imaginative ways, such as through doubt-clearing sessions, achievers classrooms, and self-paced learning modules.

Critical thinking

The ability to think critically is essential for academic achievement and career advancement. SOS's course of study emphasizes the scientific approach of CRAFT (critical reading, analysis, and fact-checking) through captivating activities and experiments that promote critical thinking in the classroom and beyond.

Integrated Approach

At SOS, students are empowered to pursue a comprehensive approach to learning, gaining a deeper understanding of concepts through cross-disciplinary assignments that utilize research and technology. This approach emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and communication skills, including reading, writing, speaking, listening, and presentation skills, providing students with a comprehensive learning experience.

Scientific Temperament

Through the lab work at SOS, students gain practical experience conducting experiments that deepen their understanding of science subjects, develop their scientific reasoning abilities, and practical skills. They also develop a scientific attitude through joyful activities that make science engaging and exciting.

Flipped classroom

By adopting the flipped classroom method, SOS students watch pre-recorded video lectures or read materials before class, and class time is focused on interactive discussions and problem-solving activities. This approach facilitates a deeper understanding of the material, collaborative learning with peers, and personalized instruction from teachers.

Computational Thinking

The integration of CT is a significant part of SOS's curriculum, making it the first school in Vidarbha to implement the CS Pathshala curriculum in Math & ICT since 2018. Students engage in a variety of unplugged activities, such as puzzle-solving, sudoku, the Tower of Hanoi, and coding. These activities help students develop analytical thinking, systematic problem-solving skills, critical thinking, and ideation in an enjoyable manner. Finally, students who participate in the Bebras Challenge can be recognized by placing them on the Wall of Fame.
